About Compost Help

Who publishes Compost Help, how the guides are made, and how the site earns money.

Compost Help is a set of troubleshooting guides for home and backyard compost. Each guide starts from one symptom, such as a bin that smells, stays cold or fills with flies, and works through the likely causes and what to change.

Who publishes it

Compost Help is published by Worlds Enough Studios.

How the guides are made

The guides are researched, drafted and fact-checked by AI: specifically by Claude Opus, an AI model made by Anthropic. That’s the name in each guide’s byline, with a nickname for this site, “the Bin Doctor”. It’s a label, not a person. Worlds Enough Studios sets the editorial direction: which problems to cover and the rules every guide follows.

  • Sources. Guides are built from published sources, mostly university extension services, government and city composting programs, and horticultural organizations. Each claim links to its source so you can check it. When a quoted source is a company, the guide says so.
  • Checks. Every draft is fact-checked against its sources and goes through separate review passes for accuracy, clarity and safety before it’s published.
  • No testing claims. We don’t test products or bins, and the guides don’t claim personal experience. When a guide describes a situation (“Say your bin…”), it’s an illustration, not a real case.
  • Updates. When a guide is substantially revised, its modified date changes. Small fixes such as typos don’t change it.

How the site earns money

Some guides link to products on Amazon. Those are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Worlds Enough Studios earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. A product is linked only where a guide’s steps call for one. See affiliate links.
